Copenhagen Wolves

While their qualification for 2014 spring split seemed promising, ultimately the Copenhagen Wolves fell into relegation for the summer split. Defeating their opponents handily, the Wolves will look to the 2014 summer split to execute on lessons learned and prove that they’re no longer at the bottom of the pack.

Team History

The Copenhagen Wolves have been in every EU LCS split so far, albeit, with different players. In the spring split, notable names such as Bjergsen and Deficio represented the Danish organization before being acquired by Ninjas in Pyjamas during the summer split. The Wolves seem to be the home of many future LCS-stars and this season is no exception as Shook departed for Alliance.

The current roster is relatively new, and were extremely promising coming into the 2014 spring split. A single 2nd-place finish in the Tenerife Qualifier was the only blemish on their record since Dreamhack Summer 2013. They've rattled off several victories and destroyed their opponents 3:1 in the 2014 Promotion tournament, bringing a serious energy and high expectations to the 2014 spring split.

Unfortunately, the Wolves were unable to find themselves at the top of the standings, and fell to the relegation tournament. Handily dispatching opponents, Denial eSports, 3:1, the Wolves return to the LCS in the 2014 summer split with invaluable experience and the motivation that comes with the opportunity to qualify for Worlds. With two new starting faces filling in for the departure of Forg1ven and Amazing (the latter to TSM, Airwaks and Woolite, the summer split will rely on building synergy and camaraderie. While this team has the talent to take a top spot in the EU LCS, they’ll have to prove that their lessons from last split were well learned, as the competition seems tighter than ever
