Team Dignitas

Team Dignitas

Team Dignitas was one of the most consistent teams in Season 2, finishing third in the North American Circuit and taking second place at the North American Regionals. But after a quick exit from the Season 2 World Championship and a major roster shift, questions remain as Dignitas sets out to prove that they still have what it takes to compete on the world stage.

Team History

Team Dignitas formed in September 2011 when the team picked up the roster of the disbanded team Rock Solid. Dignitas’ breakout performance was in October of 2011 when they took home a first place prize of $10,000 at IGN ProLeague’s IPL3 tournament. Of their initial line-up, only Scarra and Imaqtpie remain, while previous members make their marks elsewhere: Voyboy departed the organization in May 2012 to join CLG and later Curse, while Joshua “Jatt” Leesman currently works for Riot Games as a shoutcaster.

With the departure of former Jungler Christian "IWillDominate" Rivera before the Spring Split, former Top Laner Alberto "Crumbzz" Rengifo transitioned into the jungle, a role he had played for Curse in the past.  The vacancy in top lane was soon filled by Alan "KiWiKiD" Nguyen, leading to a stable roster for the duration of the first ten weeks.  After a rough Week 1, Team Dignitas hit a 9-game winning streak they couldn't quite hold through the season's end.  They finished third in Season Standings but fell to 6th in the Playoffs.  With most other teams undergoing major roster and management changes, Dignitas' recent consistency makes them a strong contender for the early stages of the split.
