Formerly Dirt Nap Gaming, Velocity eSports qualified for the Summer Split after defeating the incumbent Team MRN in a nail-biting, five game series. The moment must have been considerably sweet for Velocity as this was their second bid into the NA LCS this year. Despite a last minute addition of Joseph “Vileroze” Bourassa in the Mid Lane, Velocity quickly got organized and diligently prepared for the biggest stage of their lives.
During the spring, VES had ample opportunities to hone their collective skills in the amateur circuit. In the MLG Rising Stars Invitational, they had the most wins, edging out No. 2 place Cloud 9 by 100 points.
In the Summer Promotion, Velocity will be up against some of the biggest names in North America. Undaunted with the challenge, VES expects to stand up against the best and hopefully secure themselves a seed for the postseason and ultimately, the grand stage of World Championships.
