On July 16th, 2013, in the wake of a roster exodus from Australian e-Sports organization, FXOpen e-Sports, To Be Determined was born. The newly reformed crew wasted no time making their mark on the esports scene as they went on to compete in the MOBAFire Challenger Series, the PAX 2013 Spring Promotion Qualifier, and ultimately the LCS Spring Promotion Tournament. In December of 2013, TBD came under new management. This time under the name Determined Gaming, the team went on to face the EU veterans, Evil Geniuses in the Spring Promotion Tournament where they suffered a vicious 3-0 loss costing them a spot in the North American LCS.
Now, with a new manager and a fresh mid-laner in former compLexity Gaming’s Pr0lly, Determined Gaming entered into the 2014 North American Challenger Series in hopes of regaining their former glory. Picked up by the compLexity organization, Determined Gaming became compLexity.Black, and saw great success in the North American Challenger Series, earning a spot in the playoffs. Their respectable playoff run landed them within spitting distance of the LCS, with only the promotional tournament separating these hopefuls from professional glory. In an unbelievable series, CLB upset Team Coast and took their spot in the LCS after a 3-1 victory. After the release of compLexity.Red, CLB became the organization's only squad, and comes into the summer split simply known as 'compLexity'.
